METAL LAVA SDN BHD is a silica sand manufacturing company based locally in Malaysia. We own several silica sand mining sites located at Perak & also processing plants to process silica sand into industrial use for a wide range of end-use application.
We are able to process and export silica sand according to your requirements especially for international & local glass manufacturers at large scale. Our monthly production capacity is roughly 50,000MT (Metric Ton) or more.
Our company is expertise in manufacturing, operating and technical processing for the production of silica sand and other minerals. We are able to maintain stable production and all processes are well controlled to meet client’s satisfaction. We strive to be the best and supply our core products which are widely used in many industries with existing customers from glass manufacturing, chemical, construction, renovation, solar panels, and other sectors.

Our Feedstocks: POME & UCO
Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME)
Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME) is a by-product of palm oil extraction — a viscous, nutrient-rich wastewater produced in sterilization, clarification, and hydrocyclone processes. Although traditionally viewed as an environmental liability, POME offers tremendous potential when properly managed and valorized.
With the right treatment, POME becomes a valuable resource: through separation technologies, the residual oil can be recovered and converted into biodiesel or renewable diesel (HVO), and its organic content can be anaerobically digested to produce biogas or biomethane.

- Total Fatty Matter (TFM): ≥ 95%
- Moisture & Impurities (M&I): ≤ 3%
- Free Fatty Acid (as palmitic): 25% – 50%
- Total Metals (Si, Fe, Al, K, Na, Mg, Ca, P): ≤ 350 ppm
Used Cooking Oil (UCO)
Used Cooking Oil (UCO) is another major pillar of our biofuel feedstock strategy. We collect and aggregate UCO from a wide network of restaurants, foodservice establishments, and food processing companies across Malaysia. Given its growing importance for sustainable biofuels, traceability and quality are critical.

- Insoluble Impurities & Moisture: ≤ 2%
- Iodine Value: ≥ 50 g I₂/100 g
- Sulfur: ≤ 40 ppm
